Stephen Burke, Left Back

€1,800.00

Acrylic, emulsion and spray paint on canvas with fabricated anti-climb frame
76x64cm

This series is nostalgic for me, reminding me of playing football as a teenager. The trace of dust or dirt left behind on the surface of a wall after a football has collided with it interests me in a printmaking sense. In a split second, an imprint is made on the walls surface, leaving a lasting mark.
Symbolically, I've been connecting this process to memory. I'm using these marks visually to convey how fleeting moments can leave enduring impressions. I've created a DIY relief printing process to make these works. ⚽️
